Cosmonauts prepare for space walk

Russian cosmonauts Sergei Volkov and Oleg Kononenko — the members of the 17th crew of the International Space Station (ISS) — will take tonight a non-planned walk into outer space.

They will examine the “Soyuz” spaceship, which remains docked to the station and will remove from it one of the 5 pyro cartridges, on which, in the opinion of specialists, the 2 hard landings of the former expeditions could be blamed. For Volkov and Kononenko this will be their first walk into outer space.
